Julia M. Taylor Bridgeforth was born on November 19, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Harry Lewis and Mary Shoecraft.
Julia was baptized at an early age and was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.
Julia completed her primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System. She was a dispatcher for a local taxicab company.
In her spare time Julia enjoyed painting, playing bingo, going to the casino, doing puzzles, coloring, and taking pictures. Her family was everything to her and more than anything, she cherished spending time with them.
Julia M. Taylor Bridgeforth departed this earthly life on June 13, 2025, at the age of seventy-seven years old.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Turnbow; daughter, Fayth Turnbow-Bellamy (Rodney); grandchildren, Asya Turnbow, Joshua Turnbow, Christopher Gills Jr., Steven Crosby Jr., Jordan Crosby, Monique Turnbow, and Sharita Prysock;13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin Miller and Herman Bledsoe; daughters-in-law, Simmone Gooch and Shayla Harris; sisters-in-law, Brenda Carson and Cindy Bledsoe; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
