JUDY ANN POWELL

Judy was born December 20, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana and has lived here her entire life. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and then later on in life from Indiana University. Judy valued education and knowledge because she knew that it was key to opening a world of opportunities for her and her family. One could always find Judy accessing a library for enjoyment. 

She was a deeply faithful Christian who studied the word daily and sewed it in her daily life. Judy was a very generous and kindhearted soul that never hesitated to help people out when she was able. She loved her family immensely and in her youth, you would  often find her hanging out with her cousins at a barbeques or family gatherings.

Judy Ann Powell, 62, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 07, 2022 due to complications from cancer.

Judy is predeceased in death by her parents, Eloris Hutchinson and Tillman Powell; by her maternal grandparents, Cornelius and Rose Taylor, and her paternal grandparents, Marie and Ernest Powell, and nephew, Blake J. Powell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Darrell J.   Powell and Alan M. Powell; nieces, Kymberli Powell-Hubbard, Carla Lillard, Tylicia Y. Powell, Monnea S. Johnson, Aliyah M. Powell, Lashonda N. Powell, and Daja M. Powell; nephews, Carrington A. Henderson, Alan M. Powell, Jr., aunt, Joanne Alexander, and many with cousins and close friends who were very supportive of her.
