JOYCE WRIGHT

Joyce Marie Wright was born on July 6, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was the daughter of Charles Leonard, Sr. and Margaret Wright.

She received her education in the Indianapolis Public School System, having attended Schools #32 and #4. Joyce accepted the Lord and professed her hope in Christ at an early age. At the time of her death, she was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Darryl Webster.

Joyce was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She enjoyed her family, shopping for herself and others, and being a help whenever she could. Joyce also loved participating at the Care of Life Center.

Joyce departed this life on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of sixty-eight years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Leonard, Sr. and Margaret Wright; sister, Carolyn Wright; brothers, Charles Wright, Jr., and Herbert Wright, and a granddaughter, Katrina Wright. She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons, Anthony (Lisa) Jones and Nathaniel Ray, Jr.; her beloved nephew whom she raised as her own son, Christopher Wright; two brothers, Frank Wright and Michael Wright, and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, church family and friends.
