JOSEPHINE BROWN Obituary

 

Josephine Brown was the youngest daughter of Luther and Rosezell Payne.  She was born on April 21, 1941, in Portland, Tennessee and attended school in the Portland Public School System.    Josephine accepted Christ at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church in Portland, Tennessee.

Josephine retired from Navistar in 2007.  After retiring she became a world traveler with her best friend, Betty Mae Beene.

On Saturday, August 6, 2022, GOD gently called her name to enter eternal peace.

Josephine was a soft spoken and gentle person with a kind and loving heart, she will be forever missed and forever loved.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Verner; two sisters, Mary and Esma; and granddaughter, Charese Cook.

Josephine  leaves to cherish her memory her children, Esma Benita Cook, Sybil D. Brown, Robin R. Brown, Crystal D. Brown, Ira L. Brown Jr., and Verner T. (Tarran) Brown; nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; three nieces, Cecelia, Cheryl and Vicki in Indianapolis and a host of friends.

She will be greatly missed.
