Joseph Kristopher Charles Deane, Sr. was born December 11, 1984. He was the precious son of Leonard and Margaret Deane. His beloved father preceded him in death.
Joseph professed a belief in Christ in October of 1993 at Greater Northwest Baptist Church, a belief which lasted throughout his life. Joseph was not perfect; however, he tried to live his life as God wanted us to do. He loved God, he loved family and friends, and he was particularly protective of his sister, Jayla.
Joseph completed his education in the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township. He went to North Central High School. He was endowed with many abilities. He loved to play the drums. He also enjoyed sports. He played baseball, football and basketball, all of which he excelled in. One of his most memorable moments was being able to earn letters in sports in middle school.
Joseph loved traveling with his family. Growing up, his parents took him to educational places, like Mt. Rushmore one year, and recreational places, like Disney World the alternate year. As a young child, they also traveled each year to Richmond, Indiana and Elmont, Alabama to visit family members.
Joseph was united in Holy Matrimony to Centoya Minor in 2011. To this union, they were blessed with four children.
Joseph’s most recent jobs were at The Coca-Cola Company and Crunch Fitness. At Crunch, he was a personal trainer, where he loved helping clients reach their physical goals. Physical fitness was an important part of his life.
Joseph’s favorite hobbies were grilling outdoors and working out. He also enjoyed recording and watching music videos. He often sent his mother music texts from the song, “Mama”, recorded by Boyz To Men, stating, “Mama, You’re The Queen Of My Heart”. He loved to create videos of his family and set them to music. He could often be seen running or walking with earbuds in his ears listening to music.
Joseph Kristopher Charles Deane, Sr. departed this earthly life on July 27, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Joseph Kristopher Charles “Joey” Deane, Jr.; three daughters, Nevaeh Deane, Nivea Deane and Nylah Deane; his mother, Margaret Deane, and one sister, Jayla Deane.
