JONATHAN DILLARD, JR. Obituary

Jonathan Keith Dillard, Jr. affectionately known as “JD” was born to Cheryl Lynn Dillard Gibbs and Jonathan Keith Dillard, Sr. on May 5, 1981 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jonathan attended Indianapolis Public Schools #60. Shortridge, and Broad Ripple High School. While in elementary school, Jonathan developed a love for music and being a DJ.  Throughout his school years he was called on to DJ school dances and talent shows. Being a DJ was a special gift and talent Jonathan had and perfected over the years. He met and made many friends in the DJ world.

Jonathan participated in JSP, a summer camp at Broadway Church where he obtained his first job as a cook, librarian, and teen counselor. He made many more friends working at UPS, FedEx, and at this last job Harlan Bakery, where he worked in shipping and receiving.

Jonathan professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at True Tried Missionary Baptist Church where he became a junior deacon.  He later led his mother to New Era Church. He was also affiliated with Broadway Missionary Baptist Church and New Life.

Besides his music and being a DJ, Jonathan loved playing Mario and Mortal Kombat. He also loved dogs, skating and most of all his favorite food, pork chops.

Jonathan leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Cheryl Lynn Gibbs (Kevin); father, Jonathan Keith Dillard, Sr. (Sarah); son Deonte Ligon; sisters, Felisa McCall Smith, Nainma Safford (Perry), and Patricia Brown; brothers, Brandon Dillard, Joshua Dillard, Timothy Edwards, Jr., Nathan Hampton, and Rondell Jackson; very, very close friends, Timothy Mallory, Antonio Devon Porter, John Brunch, and Julius Sevion; and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousin and many  friends.
