JoAnna Denise Glascoe, 64, of Indianapolis, Indiana, peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A woman of unwavering faith, remarkable strength, and boundless love, JoAnna’s life was a true reflection of God’s grace and purpose. Her warm, generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born October 3, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois, JoAnna was the beloved daughter of the late, John and Sarah Price, and was preceded in death by siblings, Linda Sigler, Dwight Price, and Mildred Hunt.
She graduated from George Washington High School in 1980 and went on to serve others throughout her life—working in patient care, as a school bus driver, and in various medical support roles. Known to many as “Ms. Glascoe,” she offered kindness, encouragement, and laughter to students, patients, and coworkers alike.
JoAnna was a devoted wife to Desie A. Glascoe (Ricky), the love of her life for 38 years. Together they raised two children, Rick A. Glascoe and Jonie R. Glascoe. She was not only a loving mother, but a joyful grandmother. She was a quiet fighter who never gave up, and her strength inspired everyone around her. Her home was a place of warmth, where every grandchild felt safe, cherished, and completely at home. Whether laughing over a fall into the bushes or sharing a favorite movie, she created memories that will be treasured forever.
JoAnna was also the “fun aunt,” known for her sense of humor, competitive nature in sports, and unforgettable nicknames. JoAnna brought joy to every family gathering and made everyone feel seen and loved.
JoAnna received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Refuge Temple Revival Center under the leadership of the late Bishop Paul C. Otis, Sr., and was lovingly mentored in Christ by her sister Patricia. Her passion for the Word led her to attend Aenon Bible College and faithfully serve at The Well Ministries as an evangelist, teacher, praise and worship leader, and musician. Her faithfulness, joy, and dedication will be deeply missed by her church family.
JoAnna leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Desie Glascoe (Ricky); children, Rick Glascoe (Tonika) and Jonie Glascoe; siblings, Alex Price Sr. (Mary), Gregory Price (Margie), John Price Jr. (Denise), and Patricia Thomas; sisters-in-law Carol Glascoe, Katherine Unseld, Sharon Glascoe, and Rhonda Glascoe; her grandchildren Davontaay, Aaliyah, Kennedy, Rick Jr., Kalen, Jayvon, Rion, and Teagan; great-grandchildren Khamri and Ky’re; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
