Jeffery Fleming, Jr. was born on April 11, 1980 to his loving parents, Kathy Rascoe (Fleming) Pipes and Jeffery Fleming, Sr. He was a beautiful baby boy weighing in at an even 9lbs. Kathy told everyone Jeff was the cutest baby in nursery.
Jeff attended Washington Township schools. He was enrolled at J. Everett Light Career Center, where he was able to expand his love and knowledge of auto body work and painting cars. Jeff joined Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member for life. He always read his Bible, and his favorite selected scripture was, Joshua 1:9. Jeff was the proud father of one son, Donovan Jeffery Fleming.
Due to his skills in auto body re-finishing, Jeff became the owner of ICR, Indy Custom Restoration, LLC located in Muncie, Indiana. Jeff did traditional and affordable paint and body work for his friends, family, and new acquaintances. This was a job that he cherished working alongside his dad; Jeff Sr., AKA Big Jeff, or pops; his brother, Sam and his friends.
Jeff had a heart of gold and he was a comedian who kept everyone laughing. Jeff called his mom every day with a joke or something that made her laugh. Jeff would buy “Will Work for Food” signs from the homeless. He would sometimes pay $25, $30 and even $50 for the cardboard signs just to help them out. Jeff was loved any and everywhere he went. Someone posted on Facebook “Cowan Rd. will never be the same”. Cowan is the road in Muncie where Jeff’s shop was located.
Jeff moved his shop to Muncie and became close friends with one of the wealthiest residents. They were buddies and he trusted Jeff with his Bentley which was truly a show of love, trust and friendship. Jeff loved automobiles, music, and YouTube. His YouTube link is “BSICR”, Ball State Indy Custom Restoration. Jeff was known to his family and friends by a number of nicknames; Big Baby, Big J, JFlemingo, Jefferson, Big Bro, and Brian Rascoe. Jeff loved being at home and being with family.
Jeff transitioned from this earthly life January 19, 2024. He is survived by his parents, Kathy Rascoe Pipes and Jeffery Fleming, Sr.; his loving soulmate of nine years, Giovanna Roach; a wonderful son, Donovan Fleming; a brother, Samuel Kinartail; two sisters, Janese Fleming and Kendora Fleming, two nieces, Aaliyah (Quensie) Parker Brown and Imani Kinartail, and one great-niece, Bella Brown; his surviving aunts, Corliss (Ronnie) Rascoe Jones, Nina Rascoe Rose, Helen (David) Rascoe Greene, Marilyn Rascoe Trice, Virginia (Mike) Fleming Washington, Josephine (Mark) Fleming Brents and Ann Seals Rascoe; his surviving uncles, Austin (Jeanie) Fleming, Jr., Kevin Rascoe, and Samuel (Julie) Rascoe, and his surviving great-uncles, Willie McKee of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Lars E. Rascoe, Jr. and A.T. (Cynthia) Rascoe. Also left to cherish his memory is a large extended family of cousins, close friends, work associates and a beloved church family. Let us not forget his fur babies, Royal, Sniffy and R.J.
Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bernice Fleming and Austin (Jerri) Fleming, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Mary Rascoe, and his beloved brother, Brian Rascoe Parker.
