Jeffery Isaiah Keys, lovingly known as “Booboo,” was born on November 1, 2002, in Marion County, Indianapolis, Indiana. With a bright smile and a gentle spirit that made everyone feel welcomed, Isaiah brought joy to his family and friends from the moment he entered the world. On November 19, 2025, at the young age of 23, Isaiah was called home to be with the Lord following a tragic car accident in Indianapolis.
Isaiah was the cherished son of Erica Rush and Jeffrey Keys, and the beloved brother of Arianna Laswell, Lisa Keys, Joseph Keys, Destiny Keys, Deshawna Rush, Paul Rush, Jeremiah Rush, and Lyrica Rush. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Eric Carrell, and leaves to honor his memory his grandmothers, Pauletta Rush and Mary Deane, along with a loving circle of aunts and uncles including Paula Rush, Joanna Rush, Shaquana Rush, Otis Matlock, James Rush, and many more who held him dearly. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and extended loved ones who adored him deeply. His family’s bond was unbreakable, and Isaiah remained at the center of it, dependable, loving, and always present.
Raised in Indianapolis, Isaiah attended Ben Davis High School and later began building a promising career with Purity Air Restoration. Known for his strong work ethic and determination, he approached every task with focus and pride. Isaiah was a young man of many talents and passions. He loved cars, especially working on them, and he enjoyed long conversations about life, dreams, and even politics. His friends describe him as the one who always showed up, ready to help, ready to laugh, and always ready to uplift others.
Isaiah had a smile that could light up a room, and he carried a calm confidence that made people gravitate toward him. Whether he was gaming, joking with his siblings, helping a friend in need, or tinkering under the hood of a car, Isaiah found joy in the simple, everyday moments of life. One of his favorite sayings, spoken with his signature charm, was: “Word.. word.” Those who knew him will forever hear that echo in their hearts.
Isaiah lived with purpose, loved deeply, and gave selflessly. His life, though far too short, left an imprint that will never fade. His laughter, his kindness, and his unwavering devotion to family will be remembered with gratitude and love.
