Deacon James Garland Jewell Jr. AKA as Junior was born on October 21,1959 to Mary M Jewell and James Garland Jewell Sr. in Indianapolis, Indiana. James attended elementary school at George W. Sloan School #41. James completed high school at Crispus Attucks High School with High Honors and Academic Achievements in1977. He was a dedicated employee at Eli Lilly and Hyatt Regency Hotel.
Deacon James loved the Lord. He studied the bible religiously. He went to Sunday School and attended church as much as he could before his health failed him. He studied and successfully became a Deacon at Good Shepard Missionary Baptist Church.
James was described by his family and friends as the kindest and very compassionate person you would ever encounter. Every individual James blessed with his presence could feel his positive energy. James never met a stranger. He would pray and help anyone. He would never miss a chance to state that God is good.
James was very intelligent. His mind was like a computer. He would know all the answers to all the game shows, especially Jeopardy. He was a great artist and a sport enthusiast.
Deacon James departed his life at the age of 66 years old. James passed away peacefully. He was preceded in death by his devoted parents Mary M. Jewell and James Garland Jewell Sr. and his loving sister Elaine Jewell James.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory sisters, Pamela Jones, Victora Sharp, Phyllis Whitfield (Leonard) Deborah Hutchison, Mayola Brownlow, Estella Keith, and Karen L. Jewell, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
