JAMES W. BEECHER, JR.

James William Beecher Jr., affectionately known as, “Doonie” was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to James William Beecher Sr. and Patricia Ann Beecher on June 2, 1968.

Doonie attended Indianapolis Public School #71 and graduated from Warren Central High School with the class of 1986.

Doonie loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandkids. He always looked forward to attending Dion Jr. and Kye sports events.

In his spare time Doonie loved watching football, especially his home team the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed fishing, playing dominos, cards and poker.

Doonie passed away August 30, 2025 at the age of fifty seven years old. Doonie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia Beecher, and his son, Jamiyon Beecher.

He is survived by his partner, Theresia Cooley, his sons; Denzel Beecher, Joshua Beecher, James Beecher, and JaJuan Beecher; daughters, Dachelle James (Torren), and Jean Beecher; siblings, Terri Beecher, Jeffery, Tracy Beecher (Tyrone), and Shea Alexander (Antron); eleven grandchildren; three nieces; three nephews; and a host of family and friends.
