Howard M. Baker, Jr. was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 16, 1968, to the loving parents Howard M. Baker, Sr. and Betty Ann Baker, whom he will be greeting again with opened arms.
Howard attended school at Kenwood High School, where he met his loving wife, Tonja L. Baker Humphrey. Together they six children: Darran Humphrey, Shantonja Humphrey, Monique Baker, Demetrius Baker, Anais Baker, Deandre Baker, and 22 grandchildren, as Howard would say his Pitbull's and Rottweilers.
Howard loved being with family, dancing, and being the life of the party. He was a protector of the people he loved especially his sister, Pernita M Baker Cox.
To know Howard was to love Howard, he would make you laugh, cry, and in the same token make you want to fight, but he always was keeping it real.
Howard had a great love for music early on in his childhood years. At the age of 16, he began to DJ at The Fort and at the College, and known today, people will remember him as the DJ Pumpkin Poochie the The Music Maker.
Howard moved his family to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1995, where he formed his extended family and friends.
Howard was a loving, caring, kind, and free-spirited man and will be truly missed by wife, children, sister, grandchildren, in-laws, nephews, and nieces. So today we celebrate Howard and keep him in our hearts.
