Herschell was born on July 25, 1990, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Herschell was the third child born to Karen and Richard Hill. Herschell, affectionately known as “Hoosier,” received his elementary education from Indianapolis Public Schools and #42 and #79, his middle school education from William J. Gamble Middle School #108, his GED from Northwest High School and Indy MET, and a Culinary Arts Certification. He was an accomplished author of two books, The Black Bloodline, 7 Lost African Legends and Hazel and Hollow Earth (The Forbidden Knowledge Series).
As a child, Herschell was a collector of trading cards. Herschell also enjoyed going to football, basketball, baseball, and hockey games with his family. Herschell loved to do nothing more than to spend time with his amazing son, Rell and beautiful daughter, Hazel. Herschell had no one in is corner more than his beloved mother, Karen. He enjoyed having long conversations, going out to eat, and to the movies with his Mom. Herschell enjoyed cooking. He sometimes prepared entire Thanksgiving dinners by himself. Herschell loved hosting Super bowl parties and having extravagant fireworks for his children every year.
In his professional life, Herschell created his own online business and ran his business remotely. Herschell became an amazing abstract artist. Herschell then taught both his children how to paint and be creative. Herschell was known for his great fashion sense, love for fast cars, and creative musical arts which showcased his recorded music and produced videos.
Herschell’s greatest source of strength and dedication was his huge family with lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends of the family. Herschell was a loving and proud father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to countless people who loved him.
Herschell departed this life on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Herschell leaves to cherish his memory his children, Hazel Elizbeth Hill, and Rell Hill; his parents, Karen Elizabeth Hill, and Richard William Hill Sr.; brothers, Richard William Hill, Jr. and Corey Ervin Hill, and niece, Kimora Hill, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Herschell’s legacy will eternally be carved into the memories of those who will dearly miss him because of the powerful impression he made on those crossing his path. As we mourn Herschell‘s passing, let us also celebrate the amazing life he lived, and the astonishing accomplishments that he achieved. May the affection he blessed us with, the wisdom he bestowed generously, and the personal time Herschell enjoyed spending, bring comfort to those who grieve.
