The world was blessed with the beautiful soul, Ezra E. Porter, affectionately known as “E. J.”, on September 25, 1998 to Tracy Porter and Ezra Williams in Indianapolis, Indiana.
E.J. attended schools #107 and Northwest High School in the Indianapolis Public School System.
E.J. had a passion for cars, bikes and was serious about his shoe game.
For 23 years E.J. was a loving son, protective brother and an amazing father. E.J. had one of the biggest hearts you’d come across.
E.J. was a brave hearted solid individual who would help any and everybody. He was a neighborhood hero to the younger ones. E.J. was a real stand up guy.
E.J. has literally given the shoes off his feet to a homeless man in need. He would give you his last. E.J. worked non-stop to create a worry-free life for his family. E.J. was the goofiest person you could meet. He always had a joke to crack, a dance to break into or an ugly face to make. He was the light of our lives.
E.J.’s light will live on through his children, Elayah and E’Jai Porter; parents, Tracy Porter and Ezra Williams; grandparents, Douglas and Bonita Walden and Willie Williams; siblings, JAVia, Cedrea, Jalil and Xavier Porter, Harmoni, Nijelle, and Allen Williams, and Carrington Branch; longtime girlfriend, Antonia Maxwell; uncle, Douglas Porter and a host of nephews, cousins, and true homies.
