ETHELEEN BENNETT Obituary

Etheleen Bennett, age 83, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully November 10, 2025.  Leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories.  Born on November 14, 1942, to the late Ray Bennett and Ada Buntin-Bennett, Etheleen grew up surrounded by a large and loving family.

She was a devoted sister to Betty Bennett-Barnes, Ruthanne Bennett-O’Bryant, Trois Bennett, Diana Bennett-Marshall, John Bennett, Lonnie Bennett, James Dwason, and William Bennett, all of whom preceded her in death.  Etheleen’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her deep compassion for those around her.

As a mother and grandmother, Etheleen poured her heart into raising her son and grandson, Christopher Bennett and Maxwell Canada, instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and integrity.  Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone she met, and her gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Etheleen devoted more than 35 years of her life to a career in nursing, serving the Indianapolis community with skill, empathy, and tireless commitment.  Her gentle touch and steadfast presence brought comfort to countless patients and their families.  Colleagues admired her professionalism and her ability to inspire those around her, while patients remembered her for her kindness and the dignity she brought to her work.

Etheleen’s journey through life was filled with both challenges and triumphs, and she faced each day with grace and courage.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to share in her life.

A celebration of Etheleen’s life will be held in Indianapolis, where family and friends will gather to honor her legacy and share stories of the joy she brought to so many.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
