ERNEST M. BARNES, III

Ernest M. Barnes, III was born on July 25, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ernest M. Barnes, Jr. and Delores G. Elam Barnes.

Ernest completed his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System. He was employed at the Citizens Gas and Coke Plant for over twenty-five years. 

Ernest enjoyed motor racing and NFL Football.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan!  To know Ernie was to love him. He had a laugh that was so infectious that no one could ever emulate. 

Ernest departed this life on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the age of sixty years old. He was preceded in death by his    parents, Ernest M. Barnes and Delores G. Elam Barnes; brothers, Darrell Elam, Sr. and Rickie McDonald.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Juanita Barnes, Donna Van Cleave; sister, Judith Barnes; sister-in-law Doris McDonald; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whose lives he touched throughout his life.
