A Time To Be Born

Eric Ulysses Sims was born on August 29, 1967, in Gary, Indiana, to Ollie Lee White and Leon Sims, Sr. He was the second of nine children. He was well known by his family and friends. He attended Horace Mann in Gary, Indiana and received his  certificate.

A Time To Love

During his middles school days, he met two ladies: Shelia Williams, and they shared one son, William Sims; and Veilcita Freeman, who became the love of his life, and they shared three sons, Andre Sims, Rozell Sims, and Eric Sims, Jr.

A Time To Build Up

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was changing his life to become a better father, son, brother, and man.

A Time To Mourn

Eric mourned the family members who preceded him in death, his parents, Ollie Lee White and Leon Sims, Sr.; brother, Ventris L. Hobson; and son, Rozell Sims. Eric’s earthly life is with the Lord and his spirit still lives on and we know that he is with the Lord and for this reason we rejoice.

 A Time To Celebrate

Eric leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories his sons, William Sims, Andre Sims, and Eric Sims, Jr.; his loving and devoted sisters, Sharice, Lekesha, Taneshay, Sherita, and Burdette; brothers, Kenny, Robert, Donta, Leon, Jr., Curtis, and Ronald.; his favorite nephew, Ajaria (aka “JuFaray”), and a host other relatives and friends.
