Earl Kirkwood, Jr. was born April 6, 1939 IN Holly Springs, Mississippi to Earl Kirkwood, Sr. and Gussie Mae Hughes Kimble Kirkwood. Earl Graduate from Holly Springs school system. He later went on to further his education and went to a Community College. Earl accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Salt of the Earth Baptist Church. He became a deacon.
Earl has a many jobs. From trucker driver to light Assembly worker at Goodwill Industrious. Amongst his favorite, Earl loved being a long distant truck driver. He was disabled and legally blind. After being legal blind, he began to work as a light assembler at Goodwill Industrious in his later years.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Kathy Hughes, Ophelia Hoggs, and Chester Hughes
Earl is survived by his four sons, Earl T. Kirkwood, Kenneth Kirkwood, Kevin Kirkwood, and Christopher Kirkwood; mother, Gussie Mae Hughes Kimble Kirkwood; brothers, Eddie (Mary) Hughes, James (Alvernette) Hughes, Amos Hughes, Elson Hughes, Morris (Carrie) Hughes, William (Rosa) Hughes; sister Gertie (Booker) Ryan, Robbie Faye Hughes, Kathy Hughes. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and relatives and friends
