Dennis Gearring was born May 11, 1954, in East Chicago, Indiana to Donald Gearring and Barbara Jean Edwards. He believed in God, with one of his favorite scriptures being Deuteronomy 7:9.

Dennis began working for Marion Superior Court at the now Youth Services Center in 2013 in Indianapolis, IN. He remained employed there until his passing. He was a positive force while working with the at risk Youth in Marion County. He became a constant and positive support for many of them and their families. He was affectionately known as Mr. G.

Dennis enjoyed jazz music, horror movies, shopping, spending time with his family and cooking. To know Dennis was a blessing and friends quickly became family.
