DARRELL WOODRUFF

Mr. Darrell Woodruff, son of the late Henry M. Jacks (Sonny) and Shirley Woodruff-Dodson was born on November 14, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indians. Darrell’s warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and his gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone he encountered.

Darrell graduated in 1976 from Arsenal Technical High School where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. Following High School, Darrell attended UNLV and Prairie View A&M University.

Darrell would later serve his country in the United States Air Force. Darrell’s love for the bright lights of Las Vegas and the family business would allow him to work at the Rawlin’s Group in Vegas as a Press Operator. Darrell later returned to Indianapolis to be with family, where he remained until his death.

Darrell departed this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the age of sixty-four. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Henry M. Jacks (Sonny) and Shirley Woodruff-Dodson of Indianapolis, and brother Kenneth M. Jacks.

He leaves to cherish his stepmother, Anna Jacks; sister, Elizabeth A. Jacks; brothers, Keith Isaac Woodruff, Avery Lane (Donna); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
