Corey Lamont Berryhill was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 6, 1974. He was the son of Alberta C. Berryhill and Lawrence Berryhill and Ray R. Ewing.
Corey completed his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System. He attended Clinton Young Elementary School and Southport High School
Corey worked several jobs over the years in various capacities. His employment opportunities included Thompson Motor Coach, MicroMelt Corporation, Krogers and the United States Postal Service.
Corey was very fun loving and outgoing. He knew the world and could go anywhere, and when he arrived there was somebody standing right there he knew! He loved to cook and his favorite specialty was green beans! He enjoyed being around his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Corey Lamont Berryhill, Sr., a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at the age of fifty years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joanne Berryhill, Dorothy Westmoreland, Belinda Berryhill-Bryant and Tracy Berryhill-Baker.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Corey L. Berryhill, Jr. and Coreon Berryhill; stepsons, Daivyon Turner, Kedrin Turner, Tyrese Turner and Jalen Turner; sisters, Connie Berryhill (Easley), Alberta Berryhill, and Debbie Maxey (Tonya); brother, Danny Morton; his favorite niece, Chamika Bellamy-Dillard (Marcus); his favorite nephew, Damon Berryhill, a host of nieces and nephews, many great nieces and great nephews, other beloved relatives and friends.
