BRITTANY NICOLE WALTON

Brittany Nicole Walton was born on June 6, 1986 to Tonya Styles and John Walton in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Brittany attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 2005.

Brittany began working in the childcare industry, eventually becoming a certified childcare provider. She loved working with kids and was beloved by ‘her’ kids and many co-workers. In 2020 she started working at Citizens Energy Group, where her friendly and caring personality shined through.

Brittany undeniably loved her family, shopping, and laughing…but she loved, loved, LOVED sparkles; and she sparkled everywhere she graced with her presence. She was a thoughtful gift giver and delighted in finding unique and meaningful presents. Although Brittany was the baby sister, she cared greatly for her big brother Derike; they took on life together and were like peas and carrots. She frequently checked-in with her father and ended all her texts with “I love you, Daddy”.  Brittany’s love of music came naturally, as her mother was a music aficionado.

Ms. Brittany Nicole Walton, lovingly called “Brit-Brat” by her family and friends, moved from her earthly tabernacle on June 30, 2022 at 36 years and 24 days of age. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tonya Styles, and baby brother, Dominique Walton.

Brittany’s sparkle will be cherished by her father, John S. Walton (Kimberly); brother, Derike M. Walton; step-sister Danielle Robinson (Keith); grandmothers, Alma Styles and Dorothy Tucker; aunts, Tracy Cowherd, Laurina Manning, Letitia Styles, and Yvonne Ware; best friend, LaVern Ivy Johnson, 2 God-children, and numerous relatives and friends.
