Brenda A. Phelps was born to Namon Phelps and Edna Louise Armstrong Phelps on December 27, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brenda attended Indianapolis Public School #44.
Brenda’s walk with Christ started at an early age and she was baptized by the late Rev. Wells. She later moved her membership to Grace Missionary Baptist Church.
Brenda worked for Hebrew National for several years and later went to work for GSF.
Brenda loved to cook and her favorite dish was chili. She loved attending church with other church members. She enjoyed playing cards and watching her “stories”. She also loved talking on the phone to her sisters. But what she loved the most was taking care of her two boys and loved ones.

If Roses grow in Heaven
Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there is an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
