Barbara Jean Henderson lovingly known as Bobbie, was born on June 22, 1945 to the late Arthur and Minnie Hudson in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Barbara attended Crispus Attucks High School. After high school Bobbie worked alongside as a bookkeeper for her father who owned Hudson's and Sons Trash Company and Shorty’s Market as an office clerk. Barbara became an Administrative Assistant for 30 years and late became a Notary. She then went onto further her education at Martian University where she was on the Dean’s List and received her Masters and bachelor's in accounting and became a CPA.
Barbara became to Christian at an early age and attended Metropolitan Baptist Church with her father, mother, brothers and sisters. Bobbie was also baptized there. In Barbara later years she became a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Barbara worked on the Scholarship Committee and helped out were ever needed around the church.
Barbara had a love for baking, playing cards going to the casino, hosting bus trips and doing taxes. Shopping for church suits Barbara also loved sports. She played baseball. I believe that's how her children entered in sports.
Barbara lived a long, good life and was a wonderful Mother Friend she will be missed dearly.
Barbara was called home by the Lord on May 12,2025. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Harold, Arthur (Angela) and Damita; grandchildren, Charles, III, Christopher, Joshua Jermany, Drake, Arthur, Ashia, and Justin; 12 great-grandkids, a host of nieces, nephews' family friends.
