ANTHONY WAYNE WILBURN

Anthony Wayne Wilburn, affectionately known to all of us as Wayne Wilburn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 8, 1958 to Mable and David Wilburn.

Wayne received his education at St. Bridget and St. Patrick parochial schools, and public schools #64 and #52. He graduated from George Washington High school in 1976.

Wayne was employed at Kroger’s for 10 plus years, Reebok for 8 years, and Holiday Inn as a cook for 7 years and worked part-time with Perkin Catering Service throughout the years.

Wayne professed his hope for Christ at an early age at holy trinity catholic church. He was baptized at the Roman Catholic Church. Wayne was an avid sports fan and loved the Indianapolis Colts football team. He enjoyed listening to music, playing dominos, cooking for family events, going to bingo and spending time with family.

Wayne departed his earthly life on September 6, 2023 at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mable Wilburn; sister, Anna Wilburn; brother, David Wilburn Jr.; and son, Anthony Greene.

Wayne leaves to cherish in his memory his loving companion, Regina Williams; children, Antonio Wilburn, Allen Wilburn, Antoinnette Murdock, and Lenita Williams; stepdaughter, Gina Scott; brother, Rathert Wilburn, Sr.; sisters, Barbra Wilburn and Vanessa Price; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
