Anthony W. Reynolds, affectionately known as “Tony” was born in April 26,1957 to the late Barbara Jean Reynolds and John Ross Jr in Chicago, Illinois.
A native of Chicago, Tony completed his primary and secondary education in Chicago and graduated from Hirsch High School with the class of 1976. Upon his graduation he continued his education at Loop Junior College majoring in Business. Tony went on to accept a position at Sears Roecuck at the 79th & Dorchester location in Chicago working in the Automotive Department.
In 1979, Tony received an opportunity of a lifetime as he accepted a career with the Chicago Transit Authority. Tony dedicated 26 years of service at CTA until his retirement in 2005.
The Man
Tony enjoyed his life developing a passion for music, he built a state of the art studio in his home where he wrote, recorded, composed, produced and arranged music. His hobbies included building airplane models, flying flight simulators attending the annual air and water shows, football and he also joined a CTA softball league and enjoyed playing with his colleagues on Sunday mornings at Washington Park.
On August 12, 1991, Tony met the love of his life Patricia Outlaw and they later united in Holy Matrimony on September 4, 1999.
Tony was an avid reader and loved to read his Bible. On September 4, 1996, Tony rededicated his life to Christ and joined Crusaders Ministry. He loved sharing the word of God with everyone he encountered.
Anthony W. Reynolds, a beloved husband, father, brother and grandad, departed this earthly life on November 21, 2025 at the age of sixty-eight years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The Legacy
Tony leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Patricia Outlaw-Reynolds; three children: his son Brandon, daughter, Antoinette, and bonus daughter, Kamilah; twelve grandchildren, Javon, Takira, Tavannah, Taliyah, Brianna, Brandi, Damiyah, Mikala, Aamari, Aaron, Ahmad, and Anthony; one sister, Lena and three brothers, Ricardo, Rudy and Ronald; and a host of other relatives and friends.
