Anthony Paul Latimore Jr. was born on March 3, 1977, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Anthony Paul Latimore Sr. and Jessie Lee Latimore. He departed this life on April 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and an unforgettable impact.
Anthony received his formal education in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he graduated from Hamilton High School and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Business Management. It was also in Milwaukee that Anthony gave his life to Christ at Christian Faith Fellowship Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Darrell L. Hines and Pastor Pamela M. Hines.
Anthony was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend whose presence brought strength and unity to all who crossed his path. He was an accomplished barber who enjoyed fishing and cheering on the San Francisco 49ers. Known for his time in the kitchen, one of his signature dishes—an unforgettable egg sandwich—always brought a smile to his father’s face.
Anthony was born into a family where faith in Jesus Christ and a love for music were ever-present. From an early age, he recognized his gift as a songwriter, musician, and singer. At just 17 years old, he and his brothers signed their first recording contract with Gospo-Centric Records, where they produced their self-titled album, LaMore. Anthony not only received writing credits on this project but was also blessed with opportunities to write for other artists on the label.
This national and global exposure led to another major milestone in 1999; a second national recording contract with MCA Records as part of the R&B group Jersey Ave. Through his music, Anthony created a lasting legacy and established himself as one of the great songwriters of his era— a legacy that will live on for generations.
Anthony is lovingly remembered by his parents, Anthony Paul Latimore Sr. and Jessie Lee Latimore; his son, Anthony Latimore III; his brothers, Jacob Latimore, Nathan Latimore, Jason Latimore, Ivan Latimore (Nickiya), Willie Hampton (Leanadrea) and Stephan Robinson. Along with his beloved sons, Elijah, Lewis, and Isaiah Muehldauer; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family, and dear friends.
Anthony is also preceded in death by his sisters, Jessica Latimore and Daniele Latimore.
Anthony’s life was a testament to faith, strength, and purpose. His legacy will forever remain in our hearts.
