Anna M. Mitchell was born on June 14, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Lucille Johnson and Reverend David Haskins. Anna was a strong, outspoken, and loving woman who lived life on her own terms.
She worked for RCA and IU Health for many years, where she dedicated herself to her work and touched the lives of many through her service. She enjoyed listening to Marvin Gaye, smoking her cigarettes, and never hesitated to tell people exactly how she felt. Her honesty, strength, and unique personality will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Anna M. Mitchell, age 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026. Anna was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Johnson, and her father, Reverend David Haskins.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Janice Mitchell, Robin Mitchell-Hockett, Sandra Carter, and Gary Mitchell; her grandson, Tyrone Mitchell; her great-grandchildren: Dazia Mitchell, Ransonia Mitchell, and Jazlyn Mitchell; and her great-great-grandchildren: Kacie Clark, Kaylee Mitchell, Kashton Mitchell, and Tylin Mitchell, along with a host of other loving family members and friends.
Anna will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who loved her.
