Anna Louise Kirk Ferguson, beloved daughter of Mary Hanna Kirk and her adoptive father, Harvey Kirk, was born on October 19, 1946, in Falmouth, Kentucky. The only child of her parents, she moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of two, where she built a life filled with love, faith, and accomplishment.
From an early age, Anna embraced her faith in Christ and was baptized, beginning a spiritual journey that guided her throughout her life. She was a proud graduate of Shortridge High School’s Class of 1964. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Schaumburg, Illinois. She was a dedicated member of Gamma Phi Delta, a professional business fraternity.
Anna devoted 40 years of service to Ameritech, formerly known as Indiana Bell. Following retirement, she continued her professional journey as part of the purchasing department at Goss Corporation.
She was united in marriage to Robert I. Ferguson in 1965, that union produced one son. Later, she married Edward Forman in January 2009, and together they made their home in Aurora, Illinois.
Anna was an active and faithful member of Calvary Church in Naperville, Illinois, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a welcoming greeter, and a member of the senior social group. She had a passion for travel, embarking on multiple cruises each year. Beyond her church involvement, she was deeply engaged in her community, touching lives through her kindness and generosity.
Anna’s legacy of love, faith, and service will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Edward Forman; son, Robert Ferguson (Tyrell Hicks-Ferguson); two grandchildren; Shawn Robinson and Tony Xavier Ferguson; as well as a host of cousins, friends and partners in ministry.
