Anijah Zoey Compton was born on August 13, 2006, in Indianapolis, Indiana at Wishard Memorial Hospital. As a child was affectionately known as “Fat Mama”.
Anijah graduated from Victory College Preparatory in May of 2025. She received a dual degree from Ivy Tech Community College in that same year. In August 2025 Anijah started her journey at Indiana University-Bloomington, with a hope of becoming a Medical Scientist and curing diseases.
Anijah loved books, alternative music, Korean skincare and watching K-pop dramas, fireworks and spending time with her family. Anijah had an infectious smile that would light up a room.
Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, Cierra Compton and Alonzo Jones; her siblings, Alonzo Jones III, Arionna Jones, Janiya Garner, Alonzo Compton, and Amira Jones; her grandmother, “Nana” Cheryl Wilson; grandfather, Kenneth Compton; her aunties, Janet Outlaw, Shalonda Jones, Shanika Jones, Chloe Crayton; her uncle, Kenneth Compton; and great-uncle, George Wilson, Sr.; and a host other relatives and friends.
