Alvin Duane Cash, also known as "Butchie", 70, passed away on January 31, 2024 in Milford, Connecticut .
The son of Inez G. Heyward (Middlebrooks) and Leo M. Cash, he was born February 21, 1953 in Indianapolis, IA. He worked in accounting for the New Haven Register and a few smaller companies. He was extremely passionate about "good music". Music was his escape from the world. Weekly, he would attend his favorite hangout with friends to enjoy the "good music". He was also a great basketball fan. He loved playing and watching the game of basketball. In his retirement years, he enjoyed company of family and friends-talking about music and sports.
He was preceded to heaven by his father, mother and step-dad, aunts and uncles, and several cousins.
He is survived by his son, Grayson "Jamal" Cash and wife, Shari Cash of Ashburn, VA; his grandchildren: Ta'Quasia Cash of Richmond, VA, Shane Cash of Ashburn, VA, and Nahlah Cash of Ashburn, VA as well as his precious aunt Juanita Middlebrooks Foree, and first cousins, Dennis Ingram, Kentottis Foree, R., Tracey Wynn, Julie Smith, Earl Grant, Allison Birdsong, Keith Middlebrooks, and Alvin Middlebrooks, Jr.
Alvin was a headstrong yet passionate son, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend. His passing was the culmination of debilitating strokes and the decline of his body.
While we have lost a family member - the love and peace of God we wish to one and all.
