Joann Marie Jones was born to Wilbur Hardin and Joan Taylor Hardin on August 19, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She received her primary and secondary education.  After graduating from high school, Joann chased her dreams to serve in childcare.

Joann Marie Jones was baptized in accordance with the Holy Rites of the Roman Catholic Church.  She was a member of the St. Rita Catholic Church parish.

Joannaffectionately known as  “Jojo”, loved family events.  She was truly the life of every party she attended. Every time Joann  entered an event, everyone called her, “The Pepsi Lady.”  Her favorite color was red like cherries. She also loved food going shopping with her sister Evelyn Walmart. “Errybody” knew she would bring the Pepsi

She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Joann Marie Jones departed this earthly life on October 6, 2021, at the age of sixty-six years one month and eighteen days.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Anthony Jones, Sr.; two children, Jasmine Jones and  Anthony Jones, Jr.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Beverly Hardin, Arlene Hardin, and Evelyn Hardin; two brothers, Kenneth Hardin and Michael Hardin, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

To the Family of Ms. JoAnne Marie Jones

On behalf of the members of the Circle City Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Indiana, we extend our deepest and sincere condolences to you during this time of bereavement.

Today, with the home-going of your Beloved, Ms. JoAnne Marie Jones , we are prayerful and mindful that during these difficult times, that you find the words of comfort, words of peace that would ease the sorrow and loss you now feel.

We pray that in this loss you are led to the path of divine tranquility. However, we are grateful that we can approach our Heavenly Father in humble submission and prayer and ask for His Divine Mercy, Grace and Strength during these times.

We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

There is consolation through God's Word: “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You”. (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV)

May the Love and Peace of God rule your hearts and mind.
