Gracie Louise Pryor was born on June 11, 1943, in Madisonville, Kentucky.  She passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021.  Gracie was the daughter of Louis and Lizzie Hall.

Gracie  graduated from Rosenwald High School in Madisonville, Kentucky in 1963.  After graduating high school, Gracie  moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she married William Pryor.  In 1969, Gracie gave birth to a daughter, Laura Ann.

In the early 70’s Gracie  began working at the RCA factory in Indianapolis until the plant closed in the early 80’s.  During her time at RCA, Gracie started her own business doing housekeeping for various families.  After the RCA closing, Gracie  focused on her business and  expanded it. Gracie had a list of long-standing clients.  Gracie  had  clients, Paul Stewart and his family, including William and Carolyn Neal, Steve Stewart, Jim Stewart for over 50 years.  Gracie had other long-term clients, such as William Carter and his family, including    Matthew and Leslie Carter for over 40 years, and the Palmer family and Young family including Sarah Powers for over 40 years.  Gracie considered each of her clients her family. Gracie  maintained her business until her passing.

Gracie  was a strong Christian woman who joined the Greater Morning Star Baptist Church in 1974. Gracie was an active member of the church and a member of the Usher Board and loved her church family especially her pastor, Reverend Sterling Williams.

Gracie was a loving, caring, and giving person who helped anyone she could in any way she possibly could.

Gracie will be forever remembered by her daughter, Laura Ann Overstreet; brother, Clifford Hall (Jeanette): sister, Gladys Davis (Madisonville, KY); grandsons, Aaron and Ian Overstreet; son-in-law George Overstreet; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and the Greater Morning Star Baptist Church family.
