Mr. Gordon Lee Woodson, Jr. was born November 15, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was the son of Carol Williams Woodson and Gordon Lee Woodson, Sr. both of whom preceded him in death.

Gordon received his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System.  He attended Broad Ripple High School and Arsenal Tech High School.  Gordon  professed a belief in Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church.

He united in Holy Matrimony to Diane Scruggs on May 5, 2000, and was currently married to her upon his passing.

Gordon's hobbies were playing the bass guitar and playing cards.  He also loved traveling.  He loved his family and the huge family gatherings that often took place.

Gordon was employed at Indiana University Hospital and Nashedda Cleaning Service.  He was also self- employed as a musician, and the Band Leader of the group "Flip Side”.

Gordon Lee Woodson, Jr. transitioned from this life on May 27, 2021, at 7:00 pm. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Diane Woodson; one son, Kenney Gray; two daughters, Tonya Woodson Bullock (Shomar) and Timika Scruggs; four brothers, Keith Woodson, Pastor Jeffrey McGhee, Lamonte Ellison and Dwayne McDuffy; two sisters, Tina Woodson Flagg (Ralph), and Karen Woodson; five grandsons, Elijah Bullock, Jamarr Scrubbs Jr., Amarian Scruggs, Joe Lewis, III, and Kamari Gray; four granddaughters, Promyce Bullock, Kenzy Gray, Jaelynn Scruggs and Zoee Johnson; three great-grandchildren, and a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, many cousins, other relatives and friends.
