Dejuain Von Boyd was born June 1,1956 in Indianapolis,  Indiana.  He was the son of Victor B. Boyd and Phyllis A. Boyd.  Dejuain professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Eastern Star Church.

Dejuain was never officially married, but did go through the ceremony of a marriage and was considered to be married.

Dejuain enjoyed reading the Bible daily, and would not allow himself to be distracted, as he set that special time aside. He also enjoyed attending church every Sunday with his sister and great-nephew.

When it came to cooking dinner, he would hardly ever use frozen meals or the microwave. He enjoyed preparing basic meals you had to cook on the stove.

Dejuain was a simple, yet funny man who will be missed by his family and friends.

Dejuain Von Boyd departed this earthly life and ascended to his heavenly reward on April 27, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis A. Boyd; father, Victor B. Boyd, and nephew Jera Boyd.

He leaves a legacy of love to be upheld by his daughter, Patience T. (James) Wilson; grandson, Jihad Wilson; granddaughters, Tally and Lesley Wilson; sisters, Valerie (Delgan) Anderson, Roberta L. Boyd, Crystal A. George; brothers, Rondell Boyd and Andre Berry, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Afterglow

I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways.

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun.

Of happy memories that I leave when (this) life is done.

Sorry to hear of Dejuain's passing.

Played ball with him many years ago.
