Gary L. Reynolds-Gilbert, the daughter of the late Mack and Lillian Sloan Reynolds, was born February 3, 1943, in Good Spring, Tennessee.

Gary received her primary and secondary education in the Public-School System of Tennessee and attended Anthony Hill Elementary and Bridgeforth High School.

At an early age, Gary professed her dedication and devotion to Jesus Christ and was baptized and united with Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Oliver. Gary served faithfully until her move to    Indianapolis, Indiana.

In 1962, Gary  was united in Holy Matrimony to Charles Gilbert, and to that union six children were born, five boys, Daryl, Curtis, Keith, Stanley and Gregory Gilbert, and two daughters, Stephanie and Conniece Gilbert. Shortly after marriage, the family moved to Indianapolis, where Gary united with New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor John C. Butler.  Gary  served faithfully in the Missionary Ministry, where she held the office of President for many years.  She was also actively involved in the District and State Conventions. Gary  loved the Lord and used every opportunity to praise Him, and witness to others about His goodness.

Gary  was employed at Industrial Laundry for twenty-eight years. While there she was proficient in her duties and always willing to assist other new employees in learning their duties.  Gary's favorite hobbies, that she loved to do in her spare time included, gardening, and planting flowers.  She also loved to cook and cakes and pies were her specialty.

Gary  departed this life to enter her eternal rest on Monday, December 7, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Lillian Reynolds; her devoted husband, Charles Gilbert; sons,  Daryl and Keith Gilbert; sisters, Madie and Deloris Reynolds; brothers, Willie and Walter Reynolds and niece, Deleria Jean Reynolds.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Stephanie and Conniece Gilbert; sons, Curtis, Stanley and Gregory Gilbert; brothers, Mack, Jr., Morris Edward and Minister Benny Lewis Reynolds; sister-in law, Sherry Mays (Robert); brother-in law, Shawn Scott, and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and loved ones.

She is gone but not forgotten
