At an early age, Ramona professed a hope in Christ and was baptized into ellowship. After moving to Indianapolis, she attended Oasis of Hope Baptist Church and visited various other churches.

Ramona received her education through the Chicago Public school system attending McKinley Upper Grade Center. Upon moving to Indianapolis in 1968 she attended and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School.

She was then employed at Indiana Bus System/ VanComn/Laidlaw and Perry Township. Ramona was an adventurous soul who enjoyed many activities like listening to Motown, creating arts  & craft projects, and traveling to destination vacations, especially Myrtle Beach. Above all, she loved spending time with her friends and family. She made it her mission to go above and beyond for her loved ones while also instilling the importance of family and staying together as a unit.
