Betty Jean Bell was born on July 29, 1940 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Anna Diggs and Arthur Diggs.
Betty professed a hope in Christ at an early age at First Freewill Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Betty attended Mary E. Cable School #4, James E. Roberts School #97 and Crispus Attucks High School.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, dancing, watching tv, and talking on the phone. She always knew what to say to make you crack a smile.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Zandra “Diane” Bell; sons, James Virgil Bell, Jr,, Lyndon Bell; brothers, Edward Diggs and Stennis Lyles; sister, Juanita Montgomery and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Betty is joining her husband, James Virgil Bell, Sr.; daughters, Shirley Bell and Sonja Bell; father, Arthur Diggs and mother, Anna Diggs in the gates of heaven to watch over us.
