Michele Elaine Oliver was born October 5, 1967, to Joann Bowie and Vernon Groves.  Mickey, as she was affectionately known, accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She attended Crispus Attucks High School.  She was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family.

If Mickey was around there was never a dull moment. She always spoke her mind and let her presence be known. Mickey’s happiness came from being an integral and influential part of her grandchildren’s lives.  Her grandchildren brought the biggest smiles to her face.

Mickey transitioned on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She lost her battle with cancer, but she fought a good fight. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joann Bowie; father, Vernon Groves; and maternal grandmother, Silvia Fisher.

Mickey leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to her life-long companion of thirty-four years, Jimmy Brown, Jr.; two sons, Dwight Oliver (Adrienne “Dre”)  and Jimmy Brown, III; one daughter, Tomara Brown; five grandchildren, Anfernee “Jo”, Shawn, Jurnee “Beautiful”, Tristan “Sugarbear” and Tyelan. She also leaves a special mother, Josephine Brown; two aunts, Teresa and Gean; two uncles, Jerry and Robert and a host of relatives and friends.

Mickey will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

My heart is going out to your family today. I know this is a physical pain, that no words will relieve. I'm praying for all of you. This is a heavy loss, with heavy tears. Hold onto each other very tight during this season. Focus on your grieving, and don't let nobody tell you when your hurt should end. We love you, the Johns-Williams Family.
