Anna Flora Roberson was born March 30, 1939 in Cedar Bluff, Mississippi to Allen Posley and Blanche Wright Posley who preceded her in death. In 1948, she and her siblings were moved to Indianapolis,  Indiana due to the passing of her mother Blanche Wright Posley.

Anna was baptized at an early age at Good Samaritan Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana and received her formal education within the Indianapolis Public School System.

Anna was united in matrimony to the late Charles Junior Roberson on March 2, 1957. From this union, three children were born: Charles Roberson, Jr., Dorenda Roberson, and Giana Roberson.

Anna’s greatest passion was being a devoted wife and mother. Her entire family was especially important to her. She dearly loved her grandchildren (who called her “MaDear”), her siblings and cousins as well.

After 30 years of dedicated service, at the age of 65, Anna retired from Methodist Hospital, Environmental Services in 2004. She previously worked for RCA as a vinyl handler and Butler University.

Anna departed this life November 17, 2020 at the age of 81, 7 Months, and 16 days. Her parents and brothers Walter Posley, Ollie James Posley, James Lee Posley, George Allen Posley, half-brother Jerry Louis Posley; one sister Esstery Posley Smith and half-sister Essie Posley Dickerson preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory son, Charles Roberson Jr. (Cissi); daughters, Dorenda Roberson and Giana Roberson; brothers, Othar Posley and Willie C. Posley (Dorothy); sisters Hayland Arnett,     Julian Wiggins, and Ada Clara Perry; 4 grandsons, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
