G. Donald Brown was born to James William and Beulah Brown on February 21, 1942, in Lewisburg, Tennessee. He was the third child of four. Don gave his life to Christ at a very early age.

Don attended elementary and secondary school in his hometown of Lewisburg.  After high school, Don served in the Army during the Vietnam Era.  He moved to Michigan where he received his bachelor's degree in mechanical  engineering from Michigan State University. While living in Michigan, Don served as the Sunday School Superintendent.

Don later moved to Indianapolis and worked for a heating and cooling company and was later hired on by Allison (later purchased by Rolls-Royce) as an engineer. He worked there for 20 years.  Don not only acquired work but also a wife during his time in Indianapolis.  Don and Carole were married on June 17,  1989.

Don had a sharp mind and both his mother and wife felt he could fix anything.  While working at Rolls Royce, Don started his own kitchen and bath design business called Kitchens of Distinction. It is there where he designed and installed many beautiful kitchens and bathrooms. His wife, Carole, would often tease and say, "Guess who didn't' get a new kitchen? Yes me."

On Monday, November 16, 2020, the angels came to take Don home.  Don was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beulah Brown; and brother, Charles Edward.

Don leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 31 years, Carole Lorraine; his children, Cedric, Corey (Annette), and Jane; his granddaughters, Kayla Brown, Jasmine Brown, Jocelyn Brown; two great-grandchildren, La'Ron and Jazzlyn; his brother, Billy and sister, Betty Ann McComb (Bruce); brother-in-law, Dr. Harold Ervin; sister-in-law Barbara Jean Ervin; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and his faithful dog companion, Phe Phe.

DEAR CAROLE:

THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT GOD IS LOVE AND HIS LOVE, MORE THAN ANYTHING, IS THE REASON THAT WE HAVE JOY, EVEN IN A TIME LIKE NOW. JUST LIKE DON, YOU HAVE ACCEPTED GOD'S LOVE IN YOUR HEART AND WHERE DON HAS GONE, THERE WILL YOU BE ALSO. IN A MOMENT, IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE, YOU SHALL KNOW JESUS AS HE IS....JUST LIKE DON....BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT....HE HAS GIVEN YOU THE SPIRIT OF LOVE AND POWER AND A STRONG MIND....LOVE TO YOU ALWAYS/VINCE AND LYDIA
