Elnora “Ellie” Trigg was born in Cloverdale, Indiana to Haywood Trigg and Margurine (White) Trigg on November 27, 1943. She was the youngest of six children, by her parents who were natives of Glasgow, Kentucky.

Elnora graduated from Greencastle High School, attended Indiana University School of Nursing, and ABC Beauty College in Indianapolis.

She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greencastle, Indiana. She later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, while Dr. F. Benjamin Davis was Pastor.

While a member at New Bethel, Elnora served on several committees.  She served in the Women's Missionary, HOPE-Cancer Survivor's Support Group, Vacation Bible School Youth Ministry, and was particularly proud to have been one of the main seamstresses for Pastor Davis' 90th Birthday Quilt.

Elnora was employed at P.R. Mallory and Company Inc, The Fashion Shop, and retired from Indiana Bell-Ameritech in 1995.  She retired after 27.5 years as a Long Distance Operator.  She was a member of CWA Local 5800, where she served as a Union Steward for many years.  After retirement, she became a licensed Beautician. Elnora was also a Member of Psychedelics Social Club, and Butler-Tarkington Neighborhood Association.

On August 30, 1969, she was united in Matrimony to Richard E. Wilson. Together, they had two children: Richard E. Wilson, Jr. and Rene' L. Wilson.  Richard and Elnora both loved to travel, dance, bowl and socialize.  Elnora had the gift to gab. She often reminded us that “She got paid to talk.” She truly enjoyed sewing, bowling, playing scrabble, watching Wheel of Fortune daily, cooking and baking her specialties like rolls, carrot cakes, pound cakes, and pecan pies.

Elnora was most proud of her two kids achieving their college degrees. She loved Springtime, yellow roses, jewelry, fashion,  music, and listening to people. One of her best God given gifts was offering advice, opinions,  and suggestions.  If you had a need, she would do whatever was necessary, even if it was a sacrifice on her part. The famous quote, “What you need to do is......” has helped generations and generations.

On Monday, October 12, 2020, Elnora departed from this earth with a peaceful smile on her face.  She has left us with many stories and fond memories that will keep us smiling, laughing, and will warm our hearts forever.

Loved ones who preceded her in death include her parents, Haywood and Margurine Trigg; brothers, Lathen, Joseph Lincoln, Clarence, and Frank Trigg.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Pearl H. Means; children, Richard E. Wilson, Jr. (Rachel), Rene' L. Wilson; grandchildren, Iesha Rashawn Wilson, Rachel Nicole Wilson, Richard E. Wilson, III, Reyna Lynn Wilson, Edward ReShawn Wilson, and Erin Rene' Wilson; great-grandchildren, James, Jamir, and Demeri, a host of nieces and nephews, family, friends, co-workers, and extended family.
