Curtis Samuel was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 14, 1957, to Irene and Willie Samuel Sr.
Curtis accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Emmaus Christian Church. He attended Arsenal Tech High School and went on to join the Army in 1978.
Curtis was married to Phyllis, and together they raised three children Michelle, Nikki, and Debra.
Curtis was a professional machine operator who enjoyed singing, dancing, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family and friends.
Curtis departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 24, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Willie Samuel Sr., brothers Charlie Samuels, Willie Samuel, Samuel Woodley, and sister Ollie Dunn.
He leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife Phyllis, children Michelle McGill (Tanika), Nikki Nickson, and Debra Wright. Seven Grandchildren, three Great Grand Children, and God Daughter Jaynell Magee. Brothers James Samuel, Mark Samuel (Deborah), Calvin Samuel (Janice), Sisters Judy Williams (Brian), Mary Johnson (Ferdinand), Irene Lake, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
