Ms. Ernie Bunton (James) was born on December 26, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri to Carleton James and Helen Conway who both preceded her in death. 

Ernie accepted the Lord into her life at an early age.  She was a member of Coppin Chapel A. M.E. Church.  She was employed at Highland Manor Healthcare as the Head Cook from 1997 to 2011.

Ernie met her Mr. Charles Edward Bunton and they were united in Holy  Matrimony on November 2, 1962.

Ernie Bunton transitioned peacefully from this life on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the age of 82 years, 8 months, 1 day.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Bunton, sons, Carlton James, Jr. and Charles Edward Bunton, Jr., and sisters, Mary Chase, Helen Smith, Carolyn Brown, and Opal Duncan.

Ernie leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Karen Bunton, Debbie (Harold) Pittman, and Sharon Bunton; brother, Kremuel James; sister, Florine Mix, Mary; 36 grand and great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives, church family and friends.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of Ernie. She worked with us at CICOA and was a good worker and a loving and caring meal site representative to all of the clients at Stetson. We will all miss her good nature and sweet spirit. Prayers for your family.
