Patrice Lynn Owens House was born September 14, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Grady and Shirley Owens who preceded her in death. 

Patrice attended Indianapolis Public Schools: Henry Colbert Elementary School No. 66, Harry E. Wood Junior High School, and Arsenal Technical High School. While she enjoyed all subjects, English was her favorite because she excelled in it. After graduating, she worked in several secretarial/administrative capacities over the next 40 years. 

She married Michael E. House and they were blessed with two children, Tiwanna and Michael. As a youth, Patrice professed a hope in Christ while attending Eastside Baptist Church. She remained at Eastside for several years, and instilled a love for God in her children. Later, she would become an active member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. 

Patrice enjoyed reading, writing, music, and shopping at Goodwill, but what she loved most was family. Spending time with loved ones brought much joy and laughter to Patrice. With a heart of care and compassion, she consistently showered family and friends with unique gifts. In her later years, she developed a passion for traveling. 

She leaves to celebrate her life: daughter, Tiwanna House; son, Michael E. House II (Monisha); grandsons, Hezekiah and Jaxson House; brothers, Gaylan Owens (JoCarol) and Frederick Thompson (Shirley); sisters; Agnes Stewart and Lanita Brooks; and a host of family and friends.
