Mrs. Betty Ruth Taylor Madison entered the world on March 24, 1943 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Eashmand Taylor and Betty Mae Ervin (Hillard) who both preceded her in death.
Betty moved to Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of three. She attended Indianapolis Public School #42 and later graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1961.
In 1964, Betty was united in Holy Matrimony to Kilpatrick Horne, III and t
o this union was born two loving sons, Kavan Patrick Horne and Kelly DeWitt Horne.
Betty was employed by General Hospital from 1961-1964. She later was employed by Methodist Hospital for forty-four years before retiring.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. Betty was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She later united with Umoja Christian Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Donald R. Hudson where she was a part of the Seniors Ministry, WOW Seniors and participated in the fashion shows.
She was later united in Holy Matrimony to Terry W. Madison on April 25, 1987. They enjoyed over thirty three years of love and marital bliss.
Mrs. Betty Ruth Taylor Madison departed this life on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the age of 77 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Terry W. Madison; sons, Kavan P. Horne (Pamela) and Kelly D. Horne (Carmen); granddaughters, Keyanna Horne, Jesika Horne, Alexis Horne, Kamryn Horne, Jordyn Horne, and Vandaja Horne; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Keith Parks (JoAnn), and a host of relatives and friends.
