My sympathies to the Ellis family. I worked with Chuck at the Indiana State Highway Appraisal Section in the mid 1960s, and enjoyed him very much. We were both farm boys who graduated from Purdue's School of Agriculture, and we enjoyed working together. He had a good sense of humor, a calm manner, and a good head on his shoulders. He was a good man, and I am glad I knew him.

My condolences to the family of Charles Ellis. I, Harl Peters, am the grandson of Owen Fultz whose farm bordered Charles's family farm where he lived near Cayuga, IN. As a young boy in the 1940s, I remember Charles working on the wheat thrashing crew on my grandfather's farm. On those long summer work days we would take a break and eat lunch together that my grandmother cooked.
As a 9 year old I remember him being tall and strong in stature. It brings me great pleasure to read of the successful accomplishments in his life.
