Obituary

 

Desmond Lesley Dozier known as "Des" to his family and loved ones was born on July 2, 1971 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He was the beloved son of Johnetta Christine Hawkins Dozier and Carlton L. Dozier.

"Des" began his education in parochial school at St. Rita  Catholic School.  He completed is education in the Washington Township School System, having attended Westlane Junior High and North Central High School.

He was baptized in accordance with the Holy Rites of the Catholic Church. 

Having been disabled from an auto accident, he became a speaker for children and teens.

Des was an integral member of a large, loving family and he will be truly missed.

Mr. Desmond L. Dozier answered to the call of his Heavenly Father on July 17, 2020 at the home of his father at the age of forty-nine years of age.

Desmond leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Ruth Ann; daughters, Lauren Wright, Kayla Wooldridge, Nicole Beauchamp,   Samantha Hendrix; son, David Beauchamp; brother, Derrick Dozier;     sisters, Dominique Dozier, Danta Dozier, Patrice Lyons-Scott; grandkids, Levi, Isaac and William Taylor; parents, Carlton and Johnetta Hawkins Dozier; grandparents, William and Laura Hawkins; uncles, William Hawkins, II and Donald Fields; aunt, Kellee Blanchard-Coleman and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

To the family and friends of Mr. Dozier--please accept my sincerest condolences on this loss. Nothing like this was ever intended for us to suffer as the human family, and God promises that one day all our suffering will be gone - [Revelation 21:4]. I hope the words of that verse can offer you some comfort, as they have me.
