Antwon Phillip Jones was born on July 25, 1990 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Anthony Jones Sr. and Angela Jones.

 

Antwon accepted Christ at the age of 5, at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church. He later became a lifelong member at Rock of Ages under Elder Terry R. Adams, who also baptized him at Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Antwon received his primary education in the Indianapolis Public School system. He graduated from Arlington High School in 2008.

 

Antwon was handsome, young, smart, talented, funny, caring, loving, and an electronic genius. He always had the best advice. There was nothing he couldn’t do when he put his mind to it.

 

Antwon loved to travel. Going down south was always a  highlight, guaranteed to be pushing 90 mph was in his best comfort. He also enjoyed spending time at the gun range, he always kept his .45 on his hip agmonst many other favorites he had. He enjoyed going down on the hill on family land in Mississippi also to play with his toys.  He had an old soul for music more than the average his age. His playlist was always riders music for any occasion. 

 

Antwon's first job was at UPS, where he worked for 5 years. He left UPS to go on to Budweiser, where he was a draft technician. He was everyones favorite Budweiser man.

 

Antwon took pride in his hard work with his vehicles. He has owned many vehicles, but his baby was his big boy 2016 Chevy Silverado, Blue Baby. He kept them all clean and ready to hit the road. Many cars experienced speakers,his babys was his set of 12’s in the 97’ Yukon which banged the loudest.

Antwon left something special with everyone he came in contact with. He was  truly special to everyone. There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do if it was in his power to help anyone out. He loved his family dearly. 

 

Antwon Phillip Jones departed this life on Monday, June 22, 2020 at the age of 29. He was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Smith; uncles, Ken Jones and Charles Mansfield Sr.; grandfathers, Willie Jones Jr. And Walter Mansfield.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Anthony, Sr. and Angela Jones, siblings, Antonio Jones, Shanieka Clark (Mark) , Anthony Jones, Jr., TeAries Smith, Maryan Jones, Tyshaun Hawkins; sister cousins, Quinisha Hawkins, Mildred Hawkins; brother cousin, Tyris Hawkins;  nieces, Kennedy Jones, Trinity Jones, Taliyah Smith, Amerie Jones, Joi Lynn Jones, Toryn Cooke, Kensley Smith; Nephews Clayton and Clifton Clark; god sons, Donaviar Mehkir and Marquin Amall Wilson; grandmothers, Essie Jones and  Mae Helen Williams (Arthur), uncles, Michael Mansfield, Joseph Mansfield, Anthony Mansfield, and Walter Mansfield Jr.; and a host of cousins, and friends.

We, the families of The Compassionate Friends, send you our heartfelt condolences on Antwon’s passing.
The Compassionate Friends is an international grief support group for parents, grandparents and siblings who have suffered the heartbreaking loss of a child. Our only mission is to provide comfort, hope and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or daughter, brother or sister, or grandchild, and to help others better assist the grieving family.
We meet monthly on the first Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 99 W. Main St, Greenwood, IN 46142 and on the third Thursday at the Epworth United Methodist, 6450 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46220.
If and when you are ready to do so, please join us for either, or both, meetings.

I’m shocked to hear of this and wish I’d had known of this sooner, I would have come back to Indy. My heart aches for his family with this loss of such a good man who loved his family. I worked with Angela and was honored to have met him. He had such a big heart that was full from Gods love.
