Her Life

Rita "Reedy" Gale Williams was born on May 23, 1956 in Columbia, Kentucky to her loving parents, Raymond Motley and Mattie Frances Williams.

Rita moved to Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 1 year old and attended Indianapolis Public Schools. Later in her life she became a member of Cathedral of Praise Bibleway Church, where she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Reedy had been employed as a concierge for Hilton Hotels for over 10 years.  Prior to that, she was a Homemaker for over 25 years.  She loved to encourage people.  She encouraged the hearts of family, friends and even strangers.  She celebrated each child and grandchild's accomplishments and attended all of the graduations she could.  She was always willing to protect those she loved from hurt, harm and danger that was in her might to do.  She valued relationships with those whom she cared about.  She loved to laugh and sometimes "cut up" even in her final days she maintained a sense of humor.  She lived a life of gratitude, always thankful for kindnesses shown to her by others.  She was selfless, always willing to help in any way she could.  There was no challenge presented that she couldn't find a "work around" for.  She loved spending time with family and friends and she too was adored by them.

Rita "Reedy" Gale Williams departed this life on Friday, June 19, 2020 at the age of sixty-four years, twenty-seven days.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Motley and Mattie Frances Williams; her brother, Robert D. Williams; two sisters, Pearl E. Williams and Margaret A. Williams; her daughter, Eugenia Riley; and her life companion Eugene Riley.

Rita leaves to cherish her loving memories five sons, Isaac (Nikki)Webster, David (Jody) Webster, Henry Williams, Eugene and Isiah Riley; four daughters, Jacqueline Driver (Craig), Yolanda, Sabrina and Elaine Riley; two brothers, Billy and Jimmy Williams; one sister, Marsha White; one bonus daughter, Lakisha McNeal; three bonus sons, Dale Harris, Ronald Williams and Barry McNeal; thirty-one grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many cherished friends.
